Cookies
This notice explains what cookies and similar browser storage Traden uses, what data is involved, and how you can control optional cookies. Last updated 28 September 2026.
Who we are
Traden AI LTD, trading as Traden, is responsible for cookies and similar browser storage used on traden.uk and in the Traden app. You can contact us at admin@traden.uk.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage or session storage, can also remember information in your browser. This notice covers both cookies and those similar technologies.
What Traden uses today
Traden uses cookies and browser storage that are needed to operate the website and app. Meta Pixel advertising measurement is optional and only enabled after you choose Advertising only or Allow all cookies.
| Storage | What it does | Data involved | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flask session cookie | Keeps you signed in, remembers basic session state, supports onboarding and protects form submissions. | Your user ID when logged in, session settings, CSRF token and temporary app state. The cookie is signed so it cannot be changed without detection. | Strictly necessary. Used to provide the service securely. |
| CSRF token | Helps stop unauthorised form submissions and request forgery. | A random security token stored in your session and mirrored into forms or request headers. | Strictly necessary. Used for security. |
| traden_cookie_choice | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we do not ask on every page. | Your choice: accepted or rejected. No name, email, phone number or CRM data is stored in this cookie. | Strictly necessary preference cookie. Used to remember your choice. |
| Onboarding draft session storage | Recovers unsent business setup answers in the same browser tab when you return to a form. | Business and contact details, services, prices, hours and other setup answers you enter. Passwords are excluded from draft recovery. | Service-related draft storage in your browser tab. You can clear it through your browser's site-data controls. |
| Pending action storage | Helps you recover a reply, payment-recording request or job-completion request when the server response is interrupted, without repeating the action. | Draft reply text or pending action details and a request identifier. Reply recovery uses session storage; payment and completion recovery use local storage, which can remain after the tab closes. | Service-related recovery storage. Cleared when the app confirms the action, or through your browser's site-data controls. |
| traden_growth_visitor and traden_growth_session | Measure visits and setup progress in Traden's private reporting database. With separate advertising consent, retain sanitised campaign keys and link the measured journey to account creation. | Random pseudonymous browser/session IDs, fixed events, safe step/error codes, active timing and coarse browser/device categories. No form answers or customer conversations. | Optional analytics consent. Visitor cookie: 30 days; session cookie: 30 minutes of inactivity. Optional raw history and its account link are removed after 90 days of inactivity by scheduled cleanup. |
| Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_* cookies) | Supporting website/setup analytics when configured; never used as Traden's billing truth. | Google's browser/session IDs, fixed events and sanitised page paths. Traden does not send internal account IDs, form answers, names, emails, passwords or OAuth codes. Google receives normal network information when the consented tag loads. | Optional analytics consent only. Google tags stay off before consent. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled; cookie lifetime is 90 days. |
| Growth queue and timing session storage | Retry consented fixed events and preserve active timing across a step submission. | Event UUIDs, fixed names/step IDs, timestamps and timing only. Stale entries are discarded on reading after 30 minutes, on withdrawal or when the tab closes. | Optional analytics consent; no form contents. |
| Meta Pixel advertising cookies (_fbp and _fbc) | Measure visits from Meta ads and progress through Traden's setup and signup pages. Meta may use the events for ad attribution and audiences. | Page URL, referral and ad click information, browser/device information, and fixed events such as page views, onboarding stages, trial start and registration. Traden does not send form answers, customer messages, email addresses or payment details as event parameters. These cookies and events stay off until you choose Advertising only or Allow all cookies. | Optional. Used only with consent. |
Optional cookies
Analytics and advertising are separate choices. Analytics only allows Traden's private journey measurement and configured Google Analytics. Advertising only allows Meta Pixel; it does not create Traden's optional analytics identity. Allow all cookies allows both. An earlier choice for Meta alone does not authorise Google Analytics. On withdrawal we stop optional collection, clear IDs and queued events, and delete the associated optional Traden journey and attribution. Account, integration and payment records needed to operate your service remain separate.
Optional cookies are not required for Traden to work. Meta Pixel is used for advertising measurement on landing and onboarding pages only after you choose Advertising only or Allow all cookies. Rejecting does not limit your use of Traden.
Information we do not put in cookies
We do not store your WhatsApp messages, leads, service prices, calendar events, Meta access tokens, Stripe details or full CRM records in browser cookies. Those records belong in the Traden application database or with the connected provider, not in your browser cookie jar.
Browser storage is separate from cookies. The draft and pending-action storage described above can contain information you enter into Traden. On a shared device, clear Traden's site data when you finish if you do not want draft or recovery information left in that browser.
Third-party services
Some Traden features connect to third-party services when you choose to use them. For example, Stripe handles checkout and billing, and Meta handles WhatsApp Business connection. Google Calendar connection is coming soon. If you accept optional cookies, Meta also receives Pixel events from Traden's landing and onboarding pages to measure advertising. Those providers may set their own cookies or use their own storage when you visit their pages or embedded flows. Their cookie use is controlled by their own notices.
Some third-party providers may process cookie or device information outside the UK. Where Traden is responsible for a transfer, we use the international transfer safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
How long choices last
The cookie choice stored by Traden lasts for about six months unless you clear your browser cookies earlier. Session cookies usually end when the session expires, when you log out, or when your browser clears them. Security tokens are refreshed as part of normal app use.
Your choice
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not stop the site from working. We make Reject non-essential as easy to choose as Allow all cookies.
- Choose Allow all cookies to allow optional analytics and advertising measurement.
- Choose Analytics only or Advertising only to allow just that purpose.
- Choose Reject non-essential to use only strictly necessary cookies.
- Use the Cookies link in the footer at any time to reopen the banner and change your choice.
- You can also delete cookies through your browser settings.
Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are needed to provide the website and app securely. Under UK data protection law, we rely on contract and legitimate interests for essential service and security cookies. Meta Pixel advertising cookies and events are only used with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent by changing your cookie choice.
